Kite Strings of the Southern Cross: A Woman's Travel Adventure Memoir - Perfect for Book Clubs & Solo Travel Inspiration

I really enjoyed this book from the very first pages. Perhaps it has to do with discovering another traveling kindred spirit in Laura and her tails of discovery in this extraordinary world, and perhaps it's her wonderful descriptions of experiences where I did more underlining to capture her references than in other books. She brings out the colors, smells and feelings of memorable moments creating one of those "can't put it down" kind of reads. I appreciate her sharing of her story in the Italian Alps, as these things do happen to single women traveling creating a bit of a dark cloud over otherwise special adventures here and there and reminding us that for all the yin, there also exists the yang in this world to keep things interesting and our eyes open. The stories she shared are so diverse and so "real," everyone's own journey in this life is truly unique to each individual, no matter where you are... we all have our own kite strings to the Southern Cross, if you will.
